qmail behind nat - can get mails but can't send * i googled
 

HI,

plz I need help . below is my network .

--- 202.x.x.x -- |linux NAT server| --- 10.0.0.x lan

i installed qmail on 10.0.0.10 (local), it can receive mails from other internet servers like yahoo!! etc.When ever i tried to send mail , iam getting error message in log file

**** My dns is working fine , dig commadn working fine.
but y above error is comming ? is there any special work
to do to run qmail behind nat ???

Sorry I can't answer u but that thema interested me, gonna step forward with qmail later ..

But I think that it is maybe abit to complex to have ur qmail-daemon behind nat ?

How is ur zone defined ?

mail.eph-domain.com. IN A w.x.y.z
eph-domain.com. IN MX 10 mail.eph-domain.com.
eph-domain.com. IN MX 100 mail.other-domain.net.

Do u have another zone for subdomain under eph-domain.com for yer lan ?

privat-lan.eph-domain.com. IN SOA ...
..
privat-lan.eph-domain.com. IN MX 0 mail.eph-domain.com
..
