PXE server hardware requirements (probably NFS server hardware requirements)

Hello,
I set up pxe netboot server on Ubuntu 9.04 server which is supposed to load 30 PC.
I put the server on my laptop - Dell Inspiron 6400 - 2 GB RAM, 1800 MHz Dual core and there are no problems. But this was for testing.
Afterwards I put the server on PC with 3400 MHz Pentium 4 and 1 GB RAM and when the PCs start to boot some of them hang. If I start to run many applications on PC they start to handle peculiar. So is the RAM important?
I don't know which requires more - the tftpd or the nfs-server? And what to do in hardware aspect

Thank you
