pxe booting

Trying to install pebble linux on a small comp (Soekris 4826) using tfpt.Got the serial line running ok but I keep getting errors when the thing boots.Using XP and tftp32 for the boot server and dhcp server.Followed instructions from metrix.net and syslinux.net but it just doesn't load the files.Anyone done this and how? Please, please help me.

well I guess it depends what you want to do with PXE, but i've documented my limited experience with PXE & TFTP booting it might help you out.

I want to load pebblelinux onto the onboard compact flash card as it is a read only os based on debian woody.Would save the compact flash from suffering from write fatigue. Anyone done this with pebble. I've gotten the thing to boot over pxe but not sure how (or where) to get the kernal image to install on the cf. Thanks

pxe booting

well after mucho efforto I have gotten all the way to having the os installed on the onboard cf, config'ed lilo and gotten it to reboot.....partially. It stops at
"Freeing unused kernel memory:76k freed"
Warning:unable to open an initial console.

This is where the bootup sequence stops and just sits there...
Where do I look to resolve this..any clues?
Any help appreciated...
