PXE boot slitaz
Has anyone pxe/gpxe booted a slitaz using windows as the tftp server. The documentation is kind of wrong for Slitaz 3.
From what I can tell pxelinux.cfg/default ought to be pretty simple kernel bzImage append rootfs.gz Booting keeps saying not enough memory but does it way too soon. It doesn't begin to load rootfs.gz. Any help at all would be fine. |
I just took a look at http://doc.slitaz.org/en:guides:pxe and they have a lot
of options for pxe booting. Can you send more details about which option you're using and the contents of the files you are updating? |
Thanks for the reply.
Trying to backup and restore to 24 m ram boxes is the issue. No cd, usb or such. I am using windows tftpd32 not slitaz only because I have it all setup and didn't want to boot and add dhcp 20 lines of entries. Failure is same on newer real pxe box too so I think pxeconfig.cfg/default file I thought. Not sure I really do know the problem. Might be old syslinux. Client boots and seems to load kernel and tries to load .gz file and stops. The guide actually seems to be an older version and not exactly correct for 3.0. What I wanted to do was gpxe boot some old qnx boxes. I clone them now with g4u but it is really slow. I thought of trying maybe zsplit. Thought about FOG backup too. Any help or ideas? |
