Putting router in bridge mode

I have a router/switch combo that TWC ( time warner cable ) provided. I want to use my own router that I bought a year ago.

The tech rep told me I need to put the TWC router in bridge mode. I know how to do this.

As for the main router, do I need to do change any settings besides connecting the TWC router to one of the lan ports? Thanks

No, basically in bridge mode the TWC router functionality is turned off.

The WAN port of your router connects to a LAN port on the TWC router.
