pure-ftpd and virtual servers

i need your help with pure-ftp and virtual servers feature
i followed these steps:
1) ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.1.1
2) mkdir -p /srv/ftp/domain1/ftp
3) ln -s /srv/ftp/domain1/ftp /etc/pure-ftpd
4) /etc/init.d/pure-ftpd restart

then i try to login to this server:
ftp 192.168.1.1
but it still login to /srv/ftp directory not to "/srv/ftp/domain1/ftp" ?
i installed pure-ftpd from a binary package file from suse CDs

Seems you have to edit the config file for this server. Must be located in /etc
