Pulling my hair out with Ath0

Sorry this may be a long post.

I just installed Ubuntu and it noticed my Ath0 wireless card. I setup my /etc/network/interfaces to this....

# The primary network interface
#auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
name Ethernet LAN card

iface ath0 inet dhcp
name Wireless LAN card
wireless_essid mshome
wireless_mode managed
wireless_ap auto
wireless_keymode open

#auto ath0

When I run iwlist scanning I get this.....

Cell 01 - Address: 00:0C:415:CD:66
ESSID:"langserv"
Mode:Master
Frequency:2.437GHz (channel 6)
Quality=2/94 Signal level=-93 dBm Noise level=-95 dBm

Cell 02 - Address: 00:09:5B:86:75:66

Not sure what the Cell 01 is about.

When I run iwconfig I get this.....

ath0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"langserv"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437GHz Access Point: 00:0C:415:CD:66
Bit Rate:36Mb/s Tx-Power:50 dBm Sensitivity=0/3

Rx invalid nwid:19462 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:142 Invalid misc:142 Missed beacon:30

I dont' know where the ESSID "langserv" is coming from. Should be mshome.

I have the wireless monitor going and its showing signals, but I can't do anything with the wireless. I'm at a lost. Anyone give me a hand? Thanks ahead of time.

Problem solved.

Note my "wireless_ESSID mshome"

Sanitario in #ubuntu helped me fix it by putting "mshome" in caps. Once I put that in caps it fired right up. I would like to thank Sanitario very much for the help.
