Psftp (SSH) Client connection issue, Pls Help, TQ..

First of all, i am quite new to the vsftp and hopefully someone can help me in this issue. Thanks

The scenario is that i have already installed the fedora core 2 and the vsftpd service is up, and i have configured the vsftpd.conf file to chroot jail the user who has been login.. force them to their own directory

It is successfully done, and i have tested in the terminal internally (in x-windows). By typing:

ftp vsftp_ip -> this is the local pc name which i mentioned (Fedora)

and was successfully login and couldn't move to the upper directory as desired.

so i tried to use another pc with windows 2000 and installed with psftp to login remotely by typing:

psftp vsftp_ip

it is also successfully login too but what i noticed was the vsftpd service seems had been skipped (since the welcome message not shown), and the chroot jail that i set is not work.. user can go anywhere even root directory...

I am not sure whether the psftp might skip the vsftpd service or else reasons. But psftp is purposely for SSH which is using the Port 22 by default. As far as i know the vsftp is using port 20 and 21 by default, so what should i do? in order to solve this problem..!!

above is the link for psftp doc...

Tq Very Much, any reply would be highly appreciated.....

on the computer listening, type:

netstat -anp

to see a full list of which ports you're listening on. maybe you have sshd running on port 22 and psftp is connecting to that.
