Proxy with one NIC

Can you set up a Proxy with one nic ? I have a single computer as a spare and wanting to know if it can be setup with Squid as a proxy with just it's wireless NIC and everyone attach through it instead of the router ? Was not sure if you had to forward packets from NIC to another on the same machine to get forwarding to work with a proxy.

It should work with only 1 NIC. This is usually done for the benefits of web chaching feature though and not for extra security.

Security is not an issue here, this is for play. Now just to figure out what to do.
