hello i have a proxy scanner called "Proxy way" anyway I need to know how to config my router to see that i am behind a proxy , or are their ways to set my router every time i restart my computer or unplug my internet cord for afew minutes it resets my address , i have a linksys router dunno model and will soon have access to the contorl panel.... this is how the TCP/IP window looks:
______________________________________________________
IP ADDRESS: ___.___.___.___
SUBNET:___.___.___.___
DEFAULT GATEWAY: ___.___.___.___
I think i get the first part but the DNS i think is the part i get stuck at , or is it both that i think i eather type a local Ip for the "IP ADDRESS" or local for The "PEFERED and ALTERNATE"

Why, if you are already behind a router, do you want to be behind a proxy as well. If you are a "stand alone" residential user, and not behind a corporate router, I can't see the need to have a proxy. If, however, you have kids that you want to limit from certain sites that is a different situation. Please repost and provide a better description of:
1) What exactly equipment you have
2) Where are you getting your internet from (i.e. dial up, dsl, T1, etc)
3) What are you putting behind the router
Knowing these kinds of things can assist on giving you a more correct answer. Without knowing some more info, we would only be making assumptions.
Oooo and no i am a child , i need to get behind a proxy for two reasions
1) fear of behind hacked
2) i am banned from a place where noobs are held at a Jedi Academy Server and they cant seem to understand what admin fags are, thats why i need to change my IP .... oo and is their a way to change my Subnet
I think asking for help in trying to get access to someone's server, where you're banned, probably counts as a violation of the rules here. Have you had a look at http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/rules.html?
Yes. i was banned. this is a long story why i need to go behind a proxy and you prolly wont understand it till you get into the game i play , its somthing called "laming" ooo and its not agenst the "rules"
Ok..
So in a straight line, pls show what connects to what..
It looks like.. yr pc <<-->> proxy <<-->> yr router <<-->> internet
If this is the case, the proxy does nothing as yr ip address comes from the router.
It looks like you want a different internet ip address which means using an internet based proxy eg http://www.publicproxyservers.com/
Main Comp > Modem > Router > 2nd PC
the last is from what my mother said it would go in order ,
the next is what i think it would look like with "proxy" added
Main Comp > Modem > Router > Proxy > 2nd PC
if that dont work then it would have to be eather
Main Comp > Modem > Router > 2nd PC > Proxy
Or
Main Comp > Modem > Proxy > Router > 2nd PC
i think , i need to go thorugh transparent proxies , but the thing is HTTP or HTTPS thats another thing i dont get , when i get behind the proxy , the game dont relise what my orginal IP is , and it lets me walk in like a open invatition
