Proxy

I have recently set up my laptop to dual boot with windows xp and suse 9.2.

I am at uni and can connect to a network using proxy through an automatic configuration script. This works fine in windows where I simply told it to 'never dial a connection' and to use an automatic configuration script for lan.

I am having problems in Suse. I have typed in the url of the automatic configuration script into the proxies tab of the network interfaces section in Yast. and have clicked enable proxies. I have also tried manual configuration using the correct url and port number.

However whenever I try to use the internet it claims that the host url is not recognized. I am using a Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC port to connect to the network. And all of the host names ip addresses are supposed to be configured by DHCP.

Can anyone suggest anything which I may have configured wrong?
