ProFTPD - home and common dir

After reading up on the From beginning to end: ProFTPD Im a big Q.
Can I or can I not have both DefaultRoot ~ and DefaultRoot /var/ftp at the same time?
Or how do I go about achieving that?

DefaultRoot /var/ftp
**Remember, this directory must exist, otherwise there will be no one able to get into your system.

pretty self-explaining;)

DefaultRoot ~ will make the users automaticaly log into their home dirs. Remember, proftp use local user made with f.ex. adduser...

It looks to me that you can and should have both...

cheers...
