Proftpd Config Help


When I log into my ftp server and go the /VAR i can't see any folders or file in it?? what have I done wrong. I know there are folders in there I just can't see them when I ftp in to my server.

It depends on the user you are using for your login name.
Not everyone gets read priveleges outside their home directory..

when i ftp in as root I cant see anything in /Var and when I use my own account tgrigg I can't see anything in /Var again
