Question Proftpd

I am looking for some online documentation that will show, indepth, how to setup the configuration file for PROFTPD. I want to start running an FTP server and I have the PROFTPD installed properly but I have no idea how to go about configuring the config file.

Please, help a brother out.....

I have read the faq, but it is to high-level given my realitive lack of knowledge about PROFTPD. So, I was looking for something that was for newbies. I am not a noob to linux.,..but I am a noob to FTP on linux.

Ditto on ProFTPd documentation
ProFTPd documentation seems like it is written for somebody who already knows how to use the program.

Has anybody written a tutorial for ProFTPd that assumes we've never used the program before???
