/proc/sys/net doesn't exist.

Hello,

I'm trying to set up ip forwarding. I'm told I'm supposed to put a '1' into /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward but I don't have the /proc/sys/net directory.

/proc/sys contains:
block bus class devices firmware kernel module power

I have a feeling that I probably missing a kernel config option somewhere but I can't figure out which one makes that dir appear.

I'm on 2.6.13.

hu! as far as i know, this entry is created by CONFIG_INET (Device Drivers -> Networking support -> Networking options -> TCP/IP networking; if you use a make menuconfig)...
would it be possible that you don't have networking support at all?
