Question Problems with rpm package and CUPS

Hi all,

I need some help with a computer I have been working on for my office. It's a Dell Dimension 2400 with an Intel Celeron processor. It has 248 MB of RAM and its dual booting PCLinuxOS and Windows XP. I need to install printer drivers for a z600 lexmark printer. I have the RPM packages for the driver, but I'm having problems installing one of them. The first package installed without problem, but I get the following error with the second one:

Code:
error: Failed dependencies:
        cups >= 1:1.1.15-10 is needed by z600cups-1.0-1.i386
I've installed the latest version of CUPS, 1.3SVN, but I still get this error message every time I do a "sudo apt-get install z600cups-1.0-1.i386".

I noticed that in the control center that I have a "i686 machine". I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but this seems like it may have something to do with it. Can anyone comment? I'm more than willing to supply more information.

Thanks

I've installed the latest version of CUPS, 1.3SVN
If that version wasn't a RPM package then RPM can't detect it.
