Angry problems with @home


I am running RH 7.1, I am new to Linux and am trying to learn it. I can't seem to get my computer to conect to the internet, I am conecting through att@home cable conection and am having no luck.
any help would be greatly apreciated!!!

Please provide more detail regarding your setup. Some or all of the following would help:

- What model of network card are you using to connect to the modem?

- Have you set up the network card and verified that it works?

- Are you connecting directly to the modem, or are you going through a hub/router/firewall?

- What distro and version of Linux are you using?

- List your system specs (processor type, amount of RAM, other cards installed, etc).
