Problems trying to get Network running on bootup
Hello,
I'm new to linux and this forum and am having a spot of bother getting my network running. I'm using Redhat9 on a laptop and connecting to the internet via a Netgear MA401 wireless card to a broadband connection.
I have successfully got my card set up and can access the network and the internet but have to manually configure the system after its booted by typing in the following:
iwconfig eth0 key [key]
dhclient
How can I get linux to do this whilst its booting?
During the start up sequence it brings up the loopback device and eth0 and reports everythings ok, but takes ages to initialize sendmail and sm_client, presumably because the network isn't yet setup correctly.
I have tried running redhat-config-network but it crashes before it loads and redhat-config-network-tui gives me a segmentation fault as well! So I guess its down to manually changing the files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
