Having problems with kppp and connecting to my adelphia.net account
on the
WWW.
I've reviewed note 65084 in this forum(
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=65084); it is the same problem that I have, with the only difference being the use of earthlink versus adelphia.
The resolution in that case was to specify "user@earthlink.net" in pap-secrets, which I have also done but without success so far.
Will check the other threads in this forum but if anyone has experience setting up KPPP for adelphia.net under RH7 or higher, please let me know.
Here's the errors when trying to use both PAP and CHAP authentication:
PAP:
====
Jan 31 01:53:16 wolverine pppd[1164]: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0

From my pap-secrets file:
===================
# Secrets for authentication using PAP
# client server secret IP addresses
user@adelphia.net * ********
From my chap-secrets file:
===================
# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# client server secret IP addresses
#dialin #1
domain\\user * **********
#dialin #2
user@adelphia.net * ********
***NOTE: dialin#1 above is to my workplace, which works fine.***
***NOTE: I've tried "domain\\user", "domain\\user@" and "user@" in pap/chap but no difference.***
