Problems accessing server using ssh client.

I am trying to access a server with ssh. It used to work, now it doesn't. When I try from a different location, I am able to connect. I just cannot from home, even from a different computer.

I have a Pacbell DSL connection that is acceesed through a Linksys router/switch.

My main computer is a Mandrake 8.0, the other is a Win98SE laptop.

The machine I am trying to access is actually a "virtual" server at a hosting site. They have already confirmed that the server is up.

The virtual server does not allow itself to be "ping"-ed. Nor can I see it with traceroute.

I think there is some networking configuration that is afoul in my home LAN.

Any tips on what to check for would be greatly appreciated.

Try asking for the IP address of your server.
