Problem with Win XP Clients logging in a Domain with a Samba Server

We try to run a network in a school. We are running a Samba Server on a Suse 8.2 Linux. The students are supposed to log in an domain and get their profile from the server.
The problem is, that a local profile is created and we are having problems with it. Automaticly a windows konfiguration file is started in each client containing the following lines:

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

This even happens on Win2k clients. We don't know where its comming from. But it seems to be from the samba server.

Another question is, that we don't from which files the default user is created and from where a new user is getting his profile data, when he is first created.

It would be great, if anyone with an idea about useing profiles. It is for a school and the students are supposed to use it some day, but now it's a little bit tricky, since it doesn't work properly.
