Quote:
installed vpn connection with the commands , add a vpn connection
seeing as the command you posted can do nothing - it is not a real command
Code:
 add a vpn connection
is not a debian command nor any linux one and not even a MS windows command for a bat file

something like this would be for installing the needed code
this is disabled by default in kali

Code:
apt-get install network-manager-openvpn-gnome
apt-get install network-manager-pptp
apt-get install network-manager-pptp-gnome
apt-get install network-manager-strongswan
apt-get install network-manager-vpnc
apt-get install network-manager-vpnc-gnome

Is this a non real install on a virtual machine that uses wireless ?

as to the above "apt-get" commands

Did you RESTART the network manager ?

-- very basic but ---
and did you do the normal ( as in you have to every time ) " apt-get update " to update the list of software BEFORE you installed the gnome "network manager" parts

then open the network manager from the desktop
and add the connection settings

the gui is VERY self explanatory

and what vpn service are you using ?
you do need there cert.
