Problem with usb adapter

I have recently install Unbuntu 7.10 Kernel (2.6.22.14-generic), I have a Linksys USB10T adapter that is currently hooked up to my windows box so I can bridge the connections so my linux box can run off of my wireless without installing a network card or wireless card. So far the problem is that I can get this to work with both boxes being windows but the problem with linux is that it recognizes my USB10T adapter but yet I am unable to use it I have no status lights on the adapter itself. I have ran the command 'lsusb' to determine what drivers it is using this is what I get:
'Bus 002 Device 004: ID 066b:2206 Linksys, Inc. USB Ethernet [pegasus]'. I understand that it's using the Pegasus drivers but I can't seem to get it to do anything close to networking...Any input would be appreciated I am getting a little frustrated :(

Thanks,
