You may need to increase your softlimit. What is the contents of your /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run file?

You may also want to post the contents of /var/qmail/bin/qmail-showctl as it tends to highlight any obvious problems with your config.

Solution to my question ....

Hi !,
It is me who posted the problem with SMTP connection. The error message was due to the clamd which process the attached content checking before sending any message. So the file was corrupt results in connection failed with clam-daemon. The solution is reinstall the clamd and uncomment some of the values of /usr/local/src/clamav.conf file.

It has worked after I did it....................................................Cheers !!

here's my I couldn't start my own mail server because my [profanity removed] isp blocked out port 25. one can only imagine the frustration associated with that
