If you recently did this, the first question would be "WHY???" 6.2 is OLD...the latest is 7.x, so starting out numerous versions behind is not a good idea. The second thing would be that the network configuration didn't "somehow" become hard-coded....YOU have to configure networking when the system is built. You don't tell us what kind of machine this is, either.

I have tried changing all network related changes but my IP stays the same "10.0.2.15". This is driving me nuts I tried and made changes in all network scripts.Been trying this for past 15 days but couldnt even find a hard coded script.

How have you been changing all these things? With what tools/commands? Have you restarted your system? And I highly doubt you've spent
FIFTEEN DAYS trying to do this....especially since just putting "how to configure networking on RHEL 6.2" into Google pulls up:
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...nterfaces.html
COMPLETE documentation from Red Hat on how to do it. Did you not try to look this up in the past 15 days??
