Problem with hard coded IP-configurations

Hi
I recently downloaded an iso for RHEL 6.2. Soon after installation I found that the network configuration was some how hard coded. I have tried changing all network related changes but my IP stays the same "10.0.2.15". This is driving me nuts I tried and made changes in all network scripts.Been trying this for past 15 days but couldnt even find a hard coded script.
Kindly suggest a viable solution.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to LQ.
RHEL is a commercial product.
Have you contacted RH?

If you recently did this, the first question would be "WHY???" 6.2 is OLD...the latest is 7.x, so starting out numerous versions behind is not a good idea. The second thing would be that the network configuration didn't "somehow" become hard-coded....YOU have to configure networking when the system is built. You don't tell us what kind of machine this is, either.

How have you been changing all these things? With what tools/commands? Have you restarted your system? And I highly doubt you've spent FIFTEEN DAYS trying to do this....especially since just putting "how to configure networking on RHEL 6.2" into Google pulls up:
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...nterfaces.html

COMPLETE documentation from Red Hat on how to do it. Did you not try to look this up in the past 15 days??
