Problem with apache

Hi all,

I am running apache 1.3.27 on a RH7.2 box. Although The httpd.conf file is set to HostnamesLokup off, in the server-status i find most of the threads wasting time doing a DNS lookup eventually slowing the server. The DNS servers listed in /etc/resolv.conf are fine. The other RH7.2 boxes with the same version of Apache dont seem to have this problem. I know i am missing out some very small detail, but unfortunately cannot find where i am missing out. Desperately calling for help......

Regards
Subhasis

Hi rmanocha,

Thanx for your reply. The actual problem that i am facing is that when i am checking the server-status of apache, I am seeing a lot of threads doiung a DNS lookup...... and effectively slowing the server down. I have HostnameLookups Off. I need to know as to how we can stop this DNS Lookups.

Regards
