problem sharing internet


i have set up a network connection between my linux pc and my dell laptop which runs windows xp sp2......both the computers are connected to each other and they pinged each other successfully and i can easily share files.........i have assigned 192.168.0.1 to the windows laptop which has the internet on it............and 192.168.0.2 for my linux pc........default gateway is 192.168.0.1........but i cant share the internet......

please help........thanks.....

If you are using the xp system to access the internet then you should have also setup internet sharing on xp.

I am assuming that you are connected to the net either through another interface or wireless.

You may also have to check the firewall settings in xp.
