Question Problem in Network Detection & Connection when in Monitor Mode

Hi, im a college student. For our Project we need to be the LAN Card in Monitor mode, & the ability to connect it to the Network.

As the Default configuration kept is Managed mode, therefore i have to disable the LAN Card, change the mode & then re-enable it.
But as it turns out, that i'm having serious issues in re-connecting to the Network. Means it does not detect the available Wireless Networks, which it was detecting before the mode change. It does'nt even work if i try to manually enter the SSID & other appropriate options.

Also even if i disable the network, & then re-enable it without changing the mode, it does no longer reconnects the network, which it did at start-up. Though it does show the available Wireless Netwrks, but fails to connect it.

I seriously need ur help on this one, as our Project is based on that part, & the term is nearing the end.

Thank You.

you must be doing hardware or security in your class. the wifi card is two things it is a radio that transmits and receives and a ether card. if you learn how to use this program you will be doing everything you want. not all card allow monitor mode just scan. why would you want to monitor so you can crack weps or wpa's so you need to make the card do this stuff. if you get it to monitor a channel then you must stop the monitor befor you start another mode. have fun be nice and do not do anything unethical with this new knowledge
