Problem In Ethernet Card In Red Hat Linux 9.0

I AM USING RED HAT LINUX 9.0. IN THAT I HAVE INSTALLED D-LINK NETWORK CARD. NOW WHILE I AM WORKING ON IT , THE SYSTEM GIVES THE ERROR MESSAGES "eth0 promiscous mode enabled" afterthat I have to restart my system to get working NIC smoothly.
AFTER THIS ERROR APPEARS WHEN I AM TYPING "ifconfig" AT THE SHELL MODE MY SYSTEM DOES NOT SHOW ANY DETAILS ABOUT "eth0"
I GOT MY EVERYTHING OK ONLY AFTER REBOOTING MY PC.
