Prism2/Linksys WPC11
 

I'm running Mandrake 8.2 and once had the Orinoco_cs drivers working with 128bit WEP. Since it was working I decided to break it and try to install it with the prism2 drivers.

I used the latest PCMCIA download and the make was fine as were the linux-wlan drivers.

The card shows up under CARDCTL IDENT as the Linksys card fine.
The /var/log/messages shows the PRISM2 drivers loading correctly and that WLAN0 started successfully.

Under LSMOD I see the p80211 and Prism2 fine.

When I do an IWCONFIG WLAN0 I get no device found. Nothing under ifconfig either.

It's a static IP and configured under netconf.

I'm kind of stumped at this point. Anyone have any ideas?
I've read and searched all through many sites including this one and it seems that I'm doing this according to the linux-wlan instructions...arrrgh..
