printing with CUPS to printer connected to router

Hi, I've got an HP printer that is connected to a router. I installed CUPS and when O connect to the router I can go to http://localhost:631/printers and see the printer there.

under the existing printer setups that are found by CUPS, CUPS shows
Quote:
Description: EPSON Stylus Photo R300
Location: Base Station 0c8ecd
Printer State: stopped, accepting jobs.
but when I try to use one to do anything this message comes up...
Quote:
craig-*******-computer.local could not be found.
Please check the name and try again.
If I try to setup a printer manually I always get this message[quote]
"Unable to lookup host 'hostname' - Unknown host" [/quote[

could someone give me some advice to get my printer working? How do I discover the correct hostname?
