Printing using Win2K and HP 4L

Hello everybody,

I've recently installed Mandrake on my laptop. Now I want to use the printer (HP Laserjet 4L) which is connected to my desktop. My desktop runs Win2K, on my laptop Samba is running and I can reach the HD's on my desktop perfectly. I can also see the shared printer in Samba, I can even mount to it, but how can I use it for printing? I mean, when I mount to it, it doesn't appear in the "select printer" options list of the GPR (Generic Printer). What am I doing wrong?

Using gnome-cups-manager I have seldom had any problems correctly finding and installing printers connected to Windows machines on the LAN.

I am not familiar with GPR.

I've figured it out using the Mandrake Control Center.
