Hello everyone...

I'm having problems with printing using Samba & CUPS. In my smb.conf file I have printing = cups... fair enough.

CUPS is working fine enough... I can print normally. Hell, I can even print from another RedHat system using Samba to my machine.

The problem comes in when I try to print from a Windows machine. The printer is installed on the Windows side, I try to send the job through... and then nothing. When I look at my error_log file for cups (which makes absolutely no sense) I keep on seeing a message that tells me that the file format is unsupported and that it was stopped with error 32.

When I go the manage print jobs page for the CUPS web admin and view the windows print jobs they're all aborted...

I wonder if there may be a problem with my printer drivers on the Windows side. I'm busy downloading new drivers now. The problem may also be because I'm trying to print a Word document(*.doc).

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Please help...

PS Unfortunately... the printer is a Lexmark 3200 which according to the CUPS web site is not completely supported. Could this also be a possible cause?
