printing over network setup
 

i am trying to set up a printer on lan when i use kde printing wizard, it finds the lan printer, i install the driver, then it asks for a password, i enter my username and password, ((( from my linux account ))),, then it freezes and evthing gets laggy.

any thuoghts ???

I presume you are trying to configure a printer connected to a linux machine from another linux machine on the LAN...you will then need to provide the username and password of a user with root privileges...so username=root and password=<root password>...and if the printer is connected to a Windows machine, then you need to provide username and password of an account that exists on your windows machine and has permissions for sharing printer.
