Printer Hosting

I'm new to Linux--I just installed SuSE 9.3 on my machine and I'm trying to host a printer. My friend is on a Macintosh running Tiger and he can't access my printer. I was just wondering if anyone could help me configure my system to allow him to print.

Are you looking to use SMB (Samba) or IPP (cups) for printing? How is your local printing configured? Are you two on a LAN?
