start by reading this. Also, do have konqueror installed. If you do try going into that and going to
print:/manager

okay well I got the driver and it shows up. Now on my windows I can go into a browser and type "\\Study\Printer" and the printer comes up. Study is the name of the computer that is connected to the printer. Now where it asks what type and eveyrthing it is and then asks you to type the location I tried that but it doesn't work. Someone please help

okay so the printer is located at smb://study/Printer
I go to the cups thing and set it up and choose Windoze printer VIA Samba
When I print a test page it says:
Code:
Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
when I browse the network in nautilis it says I need a username and pword. I only need to put one letter in the username and password box and the stuff shows up for the computer...else it says I don't have access. How can I get around this so that I can PRINT!

Cups has a way to go to be easy. Read this article: http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cups-horror.html written by Eric Raymond. Mind you, he is an advocate of linux and open source which you will know if you check out the rest of his website, and given his contributions and knowledge has every right to critisize. I do believe some of his problems with CUPS were the same as yours (i.e. access permissions) so the article will probably help since he says what he had to do.
