PPTP Traffic within interfaces

Hi there,

I have 2 interfaces on a raspberry. eth0 plugged to the internet, and ppp0 connected to a windows RAS server.

I have been using vpstats on the raspberry to monitor traffic. Althow ppp0 traffic shows similar traffic that the windows RAS console for the pptp connection, vpstats shows a lot more of traffic on the eth0 interface.

If I want to calculate total bandwith usage (for getting an estimate of a 3G network usage), should I count only the ppp0 traffic, or both, ppp0+eth0?

Thanks in advance
