PPTP/PPP Can't get further than pptp server

Hi All

I've managed to setup a working VPN that gets through my firewall and onto the pptpd server. I can ping the server fine and browse the samba shares - all good!

What I can't do is get any further - to any of the other servers in the network and am not sure where to start looking - any advicec greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I think you must establish routes from the servers to your vpn.

Your other servers don't know how to return packages into your vpn.
Since the vpn is (normaly) outside the internal net they use the default-gateway.

e.g.
vpn 10.0.0.0/24

network 192.168.1.0/24

Internal IP of vpn-server 192.168.1.10

on every server:

route add 10.0.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.10

to tell the server to use the vpn-server as gateway and not the default-gateway.

You also have to enable ip-forwarding on the vpn-server.
