PPPoE server, radius, mysql works on localhost not on network

I am tring to set up a freerauius PPPoE Network Auth server. It Authenticates fine localhost but when i try to attace a pppoe device i am unable to get it to connect.

I can connect to the box via ssh and Http fine.
from the box
Code:
radtest test-user test-pass localhost 1812 testing123
i get
Code:
Sending Access-Request of id 247 to 127.0.0.1 port 1812
        User-Name = "test-user"
        User-Password = "test-pass"
        NAS-IP-Address = 255.255.255.255
        NAS-Port = 1812
rad_recv: Access-Accept packet from host 127.0.0.1:1812, id=247, length=26
        Framed-IP-Address = 192.168.1.201
witch seems to say that it's working. when i view the log files,
from freeradius
Code:
Thu Mar 5 11:34:23 2009 : Info: Ready to process requests.
from messages i get
Code:
Mar 5 11:34:34 PPPoE kernel: [ 180.326953] NET: Registered protocol family 10
Mar 5 11:34:34 PPPoE kernel: [ 180.327238] lo: Disabled Privacy Extensions

The Interfaces
Code:
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

#The PPPoE interface
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
        address 0.0.0.0

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Well fire up freeradius in debug mode ( -X ) and see what happens there. From the information you've given it doesn't seem that it would be at fault here. Are any requests being sent to it in the first place?

hi lineman,

Quote:

try to change that 127.0.0.1 to your listening interface IP address (!127.0.0.1/8).

HTH.
