PPPoE in Ubuntu 5.10

Hi,
In Windows I setup my net connection int the following way.
1)Start ---> Run
2)Type "pppoecfg" to start the access concentrator
3)Query Services
4)When I query I get a total of 5 connections. I choose my ISP and create the connection(hope u understand

)

How can I do this in Ubuntu 5.10... I have tried RP-PPPoE, but no avail. How will ubuntu know which connection I use in the access concentrator? Please help.

P.S: I am a BIG n00b in Linux. Just trying to switch over from windows

Hi maverick_awp,

great idea to switch, maybe you might want to try Ubuntu 6.06 instead of 5.10 . It's the latest release, and there have been many improvements. I don't know about PPPoE, but I believe the Ubuntu Forums are full of info on that. (I can't post urls yet, sorry)
