hi everyone!

when I type the command for a ppp server (i have alrady configure the /etc/pp/options and the chap-secrets):

pppd ttys0 9600

i get the following error:

using channel 3
Failed to set PPP kernel option flags: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Using interface ppp0
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0
Modem hangup
Connection terminated.


why????

Maybe it's a typo...

ttyS0

Are you sure that you've setup the right device name? maybe you have modem on tty01.
