ppp0 connection

after i run adsl-start ipconfig shows only eth0 & eth1, eth0 is connected to my network, eth1 to my modem. ipconfig does not show ppp0.

If i run adsl-status i get "could not find interface corresponding to pppd pid", if i run adsl-start again i get "there already seems to be an adsl connection up (PID1390)"

Can anybody help me?, thanks.
