Postfix or Sendmail


HI....

i want to build my webmail.....
I have Debian server...
so i'm wondering if i use POSTFIX or SENDMAIL....

What is the best performance...

i waiting yours suggestion...

his is just what happens to me.

i used sendmail for about 3 or 4 years. i moved to postfix and there have been good and not so good situations.

goods.-
i feel more comfortable with how to setup postfix
the config files are simplier than sendmail, that's why i think you can take advantage of its features
you can use mailbox or maildir
you can filter easily inbound messages using pcre (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions)

in many ways easier than send mail. just my opinion.

not so good
i used openwebmail, now i use postfix with maildir option and i had to change to squirrel and is slower becauser is an imap client, openwebmail just read directly from the spool file.
any other i haven't seen already.

using few words i'd choose postfix and dovecot for imap and pop. I use fedora 2
