Possible DNS Problem?
Hello all! Here's my lil issue...
I am not able to resolve hosts under linux behind my router which is a mandrake machine using iptables / masquerading. I have a mandrake 10 machine and a windows xp machine behind the router and the windows machine can connect to the internet but the linux box cant, what's the deal? The linux box and the windows box are both getting correct info from the dhcp server on the router. I am really stumped on this one. Thanks in advance!

if you suspect dns info, turn dhcp off, set manually your settings like /etc/host.conf, /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf and try if it helps...resolv.conf deals with dns. also check /var/log/ for logfiles that might have any errors...
