I am connected to internet by an proxy server in my university at port 3128.

This takes long time.But there is no output.Now my question is which port should i listen for.

websniff -v -p <port-nos>
Port-nos --> 25, 110 etc.

But in your case.. as if you are behind a proxy, i could not confirm the proper working of websniff. I am not sure of this.

Anyhow you are accessing internet through the 3128 port of your proxy server.. So sniffing 3128 port doesnt make any sense to me. 3128 would only be available n limited to internal lan n network n not the external real internet world.
