port forwarding/DMZ? router acting up, i think?
okay heres the situation. im trying to set up port forwarding on my netgear rp614v2. at first i forwarded port 22 to this machine on 192.168.0.4. but when i port scan my router its just not showing up as open. my friend tries to connect from outside my network and he says it just hangs after he hits enter. i tried running ssh from a different port...port 24747 but that didnt work. everytime i try to forward a port nmap doesnt see it as open.
i have sshd running. i can connect through ssh with other computers on my LAN. the router was set to forward port 22 to my ip address on this computer (IM SURE of the IP). but no one outside my network can connect. any suggestions? is it my router? =\ |
on start up i get:
Code:
th0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x45E1 nevermind fixed. |
I am having the same type of problem. I asked about it in another thread so I'll let you if I find anything out.
Good luck finding a solution. Edit: How did you manage to fix it? Thanks, Chris Edit: Now that I look at the date he posted this I'm very sorry for reviving a dead thread. |
