pop3/slackware

Hi All,

Does slackware 9.1 already have pop3 support at install?

if I enter 'nmap localhost' is displays '110/tcp - Open - Pop-3'

If this is the case, will my mail server just be my domain name? or will it be pop3.domain.co.uk or something else?

I already have sendmail setup and it works fine. just looking to get pop3 working now

hostname can be anything. you can call it pop.domain.co.uk or mail.domain.co.uk. or postbox.domain.co.uk.

The DNS, if setup appropriately, will reslove that name for you to the IP where you have hosted your pop server and establish a connection.
