pop3 retrieval from gmail on evolution


hii
i m trying to configure evolution to get e mails from gmail ... i enabled pop as instructed ... and also went on with the interactive wizard ....i gave
incoming server as ..
pop.gmail.com:995
and outgoing server as
smtp.gmail.com

when i send e mails .. they r going .. but when i try to retrieve ... it gives error like authentication not supported .. even with login type of authentication ?

plzz help
