anybody knows where to get a imap/pop3 mail client?

or a C library which i can use for

i simply need a client, which can retrieve mails
just like sendmail, but the opposite way ;-)

so, anybody knows something like readmail ;-)?

if you just want a client, checkout Thunderbird or Evolution.

Mail clients are mutt, pine, etc.
To retrieve mail use getmail, fetchmail, etc.

Even if you do not use Debian you can have a look at their repository, just to get ideas.
