Hi,


I've installed Postfix, and the imap package (which contains an imap and a pop3 daemon for in xinetd) on an MDK10 box.

When trying to get my mail using thunderbird (server: localhost port 110 (suprise ;-) )username : boudewijn (I've generated a postfix user boudewijn, which has some mail)), thunderbird makes a message pop up:

sending of password did not succeed lock Mailbox in use

I've enabled the pop3 service in webmin (using extended internet services).


Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I tried fuse /var/mail/boudewijn -u
I also googled the problem (nothing :-( )
There's nothing strange in /var/log/messages

Just fxed it:

permissions were:
-rw-rw----

I made it 600, and it works.... but I do not know what was locking it (does anyone know)??
